Don't quit the dream. Took me many years and the hard realization that less house (and stuff) is more happiness and freedom. The American dream of "bigger is better" is a myth designed to keep you in debt. We downsized our house, upsized our land, and maximized our life. Getting out off DC years ago also helped (wink).
