Un magnétar est une étoile à neutrons particulièrement extrême, appartenant à la classe des étoiles compactes. Il s’agit des restes effondrés (par effondrement gravitationnel du cœur) d’une étoile massive – typiquement 10 à 30 fois plus massive que le Soleil – après une supernova. Le résidu stellaire ne mesure qu’environ 20 à 30 kilomètres de diamètre, mais sa densité est telle qu'une cuillère à café de matière d’un magnétar pèserait plusieurs milliards de tonnes sur Terre.
Ce qui distingue un magnétar des autres étoiles à neutrons, c’est son champ magnétique d’une intensité titanesque :
Il peut atteindre jusqu’à 10¹⁵ gauss, soit environ 10 000 milliards de fois plus puissant que celui d’un aimant de réfrigérateur standard (quelques centaines de gauss).
Cela le rend également jusqu’à 1000 fois plus magnétique qu’une étoile à neutrons "ordinaire", déjà extrêmement magnétique.

请问在北上广深的农民工的孩子能在本地免费的接受K12教育么，能用医保卡去医院看病而不会因为没钱被赶出来么，能以极低的价格去上UC系列的大学么，租房被房东剥削能上小额法庭打官司要回自己的押金么。
加州并不是站在非法移民这边，而是站在所有的弱势群体这边，包括劳工，职场女性，少数族裔，贫穷的租客，非法移民，各国合法的移民等等。而这种追求平等的种子是从淘金热就开始的，因为淘金时期整个美国西海岸都处在两个状态，1. 极度缺乏人口 2.男女比例严重不平衡。 因此旧金山是美国最早认可女性工作权和财产权的地方。在极度荒凉的西部的生存之道就是团结能团结的所有力量。
就非法移民本身来说，加州因为人口众多和一些劳动密集的产业发达，比如农业。现实层面就是很需要劳工，比如种菜，种水果这些依旧是很难农业机械自动化的。另外一个类似给非法移民的子女平等的教育权也是整个社会算大账之后认为的最优解。毕竟花点钱教出一个良民带来的好处比省下那点钱获得一个黑帮的暴徒要合算的多。
当然吃福利薅羊毛的现象肯定是存在的（比如金牌讲师），不过大部分愿意穿越雨林沙漠的非法移民想法都是希望获得一个机会能有更好的生活， 不然也没有必要冒这么大的风险。生活中接触到的这些一代非法移民都是非常吃苦耐劳的人，反倒是流浪汉们不少都是正儿八经的美国人。
