considering iran has china and russia as allies and trading partners, i think that israel is going to really regret trying to tread on iran.

yup... all that's needed is some more experimentation with distributed dynamic cache strategies and more use of the pub/sub model... the sub side is there already, and can be relatively simply made to run, but push side needs to be there too, or at least, a model of subscription in which the emitted events are in a queue and when a subscriber drops, they get sent the backlog they miss in the interim. this isn't really that complicated to implement either, in fact, i wrote a sub thing using SSE but all i have to do to make it resilient is create a primary subscription queue and progress monitoring of subscribers and a slightly different contract than the best effort that is the current standard.

companies founded and supported to do work for military have infinity money to do whatever they like. apple, google, microsoft, boeing, airbus, mcdonald-douglas, etc etc. they have their market dominance because they get all the money they need to pay all the lawyers to lobby the government and basically outlaw competition.
if you look closely at the history of tech companies that got big and then disappeared, there is always funny little strange things happening, like Commodore, for example, was infiltrated and they basically took the company apart. their tech was too far advanced, i mean, any amiga fan would be able to relate to this - the computer had graphics acceleration coprocessors that would not see wide use in the rest of the industry until about year 2000, flickerless sprites, bulk memery copy and splicing processors... until about 2000 windows mouse cursor flickered. apple's didn't because they used a simple technique involving bitmasking, which i figured out how to do on a TRS-80 CoCo back in like 1987 just by reading Byte magazine descriptions of things and other programming oriented magazines at the time. even now we still don't have vblank sync that works effectively for 3d graphics but most 2d graphics apps now do actually have vblank sync (stopping tearing and flicker)
these military backed companies basically have slowed down progress of tech, and combined with the endless ways in which they prevent people entering the industry, mainly copyright laws and EULAs we have seen tech slow down massively since the inception of the microcomputer in the 80s.
even now, here on nostr, i can almost guarantee you that primal and maybe other major nostr projects have got links to people in VC who are actually working for military. primal especially, you look at the vibe and style of them they smell like spooks.

for people who lived through the collapse in Argentina, i read accounts about how the place got so lawless that people stopped obeying stop lights and would sometimes ram people who were most likely going to attempt to carjack and rob them.
these are bandits, no matter what they claim their cause is, they are trying to involve everyone in their cause like it or not. fanatics, at best, and opportunists more commonly. these protestors are literally getting paid in pop-up supply shops all over the place before the shit starts, being fed propaganda, given supplies and sometimes even paid to perform and the protestors, in some places, like los angeles, the mayor and governor are both literally giving them license to attack and loot and do whatever they like.

You may want to watch at least the beginning of this, since these are momentous events. NATO, which is recognized as an extension of the US, has already attacked Russia. Now, Trump--the guy who grifted everybody that he'd end all wars and who instead has started one new war after another--apparently authorized shooting down ballistic missiles today headed from Iran toward Israel in retaliation for Israel killing about 20 of their generals in a surprise attack yesterday. The US is now at war with Iran--even if it has not been declared by the President of the US yet (who doesn't have the power to declare wars--only Congress does--but that has never stopped Trump before). And, as soon as Iran retaliates against the US, it will be used as the pretext for declaring a "defensive" war (despite the fact that the US actually attacked first.)

- Read from your own WoT relay (set up to aggregate notes from your WoT) and your Haven inbox relay.
Kind 3 - For those clients that support using it to supplement your inbox/outbox setup.
- Read from a couple other WoT relays and aggregators that might fill in some gaps missing in your inbox relays.
- Write to... nothing additional should be needed. Your outbox relays should suffice.

Depends on the app. For many Nostr apps, the devs themselves sign the release and you get it just as fast as getting it directly from GitHub, with the added benefit of it being signed by their Nostr key.
However, most other apps are signed by nostr:npub10r8xl2njyepcw2zwv3a6dyufj4e4ajx86hz6v4ehu4gnpupxxp7stjt2p8, and there can be a delay. Usually not much of a delay, though.
I have generally moved to using the Zapstore, and only use Obtainium for apps that aren't available there. Which is surprisingly few.

However, on a technical level, they are separate things.
The difference between them is defined in NIP-18. Boosts or reposts are kind 6 or kind 16 notes while quote-posts (additional comments included or not) are kind 1 with a reference to the original note in the content of the quote-post.

Absolutely. It's fine for normies to understand the concept of a relay, but if we try to make them configure outbox/inbox/DM relays it's dead on arrival
That's why we need a nostr event that can be pulled to automatically populate these fields. Or: authed relays get smart and figure it out such that the same relay URL goes in all fields (Easiest for the user)

We homeschool and I had my son take a standardized exam at the end of this school year to get an idea of how his curriculum is going compared to traditional school. He scored in the 95th percentile or above in every subject for his grade level. Pretty proud moment.
