My change is specifically grouping replies from your trusted network (your follows and their follows) so that they are shown on the top of the thread. Notes outside of that trusted network are shown on the bottom of the thread. You would not miss those replies, so thereâs no need to worry about new users not being discovered. Theyâre just less prominent. Also, images and video from those who fall outside the trusted network are blurred by default anyway so thereâs no accidental chance of seeing porn unless you decide to start tapping to reveal them.
Notifications remain unchanged â Damus users will continue to receive notifications from only their trusted network if they have the filter enabled.

Neben der Forderung nach einer âAufarbeitungâ der Coronapandemie (auch in Form einer strafrechtlichen Verfolgung der fĂŒr die SchutzmaĂnahmen verantwortlichen Politikerinnen und Politiker) wurde versucht, staatliche KlimaschutzmaĂnahmen, den russischen Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine oder die angebliche Gefahr einer staatlichen TotalĂŒberwachung der Bevölkerung durch Digitalisierung als mögliche Schwerpunktthemen zu implementieren."

both the fact of the geomagnetic storm intensity of the last few years and the nature of events involving people going crazy and doing messed up shit is pretty strong. like, you can pretty much evaluate a risk factor based on this whether it's a good idea to go visit a big city based on this.
i don't think the causal relationship is people -> space weather, it's gotta be the other way around if anything. there is many biological sensors and phenomenon that alter the function of our nervous systems. one of the simplest and most well known is magnetic field orientation, which many animals use for navigation. another is that an increased level of high energy particles like X-rays and Gamma rays also cause more errors in electronic devices, and our nervous system is a electro-chemical computation system.
i often say that the definition of evil is the intentional causing of errors, with the purpose being to exploit these errors to rob, murder or deceive people. when our ability to think is being impacted by electrons getting bumped around or injected or causing chemical changes, we are more vulnerable to making mistakes and this logically leads to more violence and delusion, as well.

i'm thinking of other ways to compute a value also, you could just take all of the text content of a given npub, and then compute the nilsimsa hash of that collected body and then from that you could find similar authors, and graph them based on their relative distance from each other and compute tensors between them to optimize them into a finite/unbounded 2d sphere graph that you could traverse to find near neighbours for a recommender.
