also, the main reason why japan capitulated to USA was to get their protection against russia, who was poised to invade japan at that point.
russia really was the main winner in WW2. USA "won" by diplomacy and propaganda mainly. that's why then started the cold war. russia could only have been defeated at that point if at all, by the entire rest of the world turning on them. i'm pretty sure that somewhere in the current situation is the fact that china was neutral to this and didn't want to turn against their near neighbour, because they were able to out man them but technically incapable of out gunning them.

the american "nuke bomb" propaganda gave them an easy out to getting protection against russia, just to be clear. this is why they cooperated. it also allowed them to make this internal propaganda about how downtrodden and oppressed they were and how badly their old monarchs failed to protect them.
on one hand, USA had massive propaganda clout, and on the other hand, japan had massive victim clout.
it wasn't for nothing that from then on, japan became a huge fan of baseball and all that other shit. the anime, that was just aping and trying to outdo the american propaganda machine. most japanese animation is deeply propagandist. in recent decades they did a lot to promote Kurzweil style techno-singularity bullshit as well with movies like Akira and Ghost in the Shell, both of which greatly outpaced the american produced cyberpunk genre by 100x at least.

USA, China and Russia don't have nuclear bombs. If they did, why the hypersonics and drones?
Iran is a major manufacturer of hypersonic and drone weapons, as is russia. For reasons that are obviously because the nukes don't exist.
if they have plutonium purification facilities it will purely be because they make very handy dirty bombs because you need like 1000x less plutonium to get the same effect as meltdown uranium to poison people and get a high kill rate. uranium is heavy stuff, and if you get it to melt down (quite easy, actually, if you have no cooling) it produces loads of iodine 129 and cesium 137 and those kill very quickly, especially iodine. the cesium and other breakdown products cause a spike in cancer rates, but iodine destroys the thyroid gland.

It's checked against an organisational domain server, like an e-mail server, rather than a list of npubs. Npubs who show up with a particular domain get categorized for everyone looking at the client, and the community client defines which domains are significant. You could even change the interface depending upon which domain they belong to. It's a group adherance.
Badges are for roles. They signify something about some particular person, within a community or across communities.
You can use either for both, or split them up.

Completely defies all free market dynamics because it's aflood with charity. Charities are, by definition, not meant to solve the problems they address. They exist to perpetuate themselves by alleviating problems.
These aren't real investors. Real investors want a return on investment, and efficient development raises their returns. Why would an investor pay €500k for something that would be built better for €5k? He wouldn't, but they are.
The only real investors we have, on Nostr, are the individual people and companies zapping, crowdfunding, and making contracts with suppliers. We're increasingly off in our own economic ecosystem.
