On Saturday morning, Pedro Silva left the detention facility irregularly and went to his sister's residence in the neighboring neighborhood. There, he took five people hostage: his ex-wife, sister, brother-in-law, and two children, aged 3 and 10. During the hostage-taking, he stabbed to death the 10-year-old boy and his brother-in-law.
