One big channel with LOOP that I try my best to keep supplied with fresh liquidity daily. Either Loop in or rebalance if possible.
Node is set up with LOOP at center (biggest channel) with next largest channels being exchanges and larger routing nodes acting as main highways. Then the smaller pleb nodes that supply inbound and reach. Think of it like a hub with bigger connections leading to smaller ones.
I use LNDg for channel management and rebalancing. Fee management is all manual.

My example: I own many rooms and do care about keeping some alive, but let many others decay by removing myself as you suggest.
The problem lies in that all of my frequently visited rooms are owned by others. So all of the colored rooms (often my own) sink lower and rarely get audited.
Then when I do audit them, it's a struggle to quickly identify visually which rooms "actually belong to me" versus "are frequently visited by me"
I end up having to thoroughly examine every room I have stepped into in the last 90 days.
Now that I have done this, I can see why, based on my habits. Nonetheless I think there is room for an improvement still. My original feature request was to separate rooms in which only a speaker role was assigned.
I think the best solution is to separate the users "admin" rooms from any other rooms they may hold a role in.

I have a commercial series dual fuel Char-Broil with the same number of burners and similar size grilling area with rotisserie. These go new for about 50-60% the cost of the Weber.
Luckily I got mine used, cleaned it up, replaced consumable components and stuff that was rusting apart. I'll keep using it till I get tempted to buy something new. I've probably spent about $180 to $200 total on it
