It seems the NHS has been able to reduce spending on agency staff by around £1bn in the last financial year;
on the face of it this looks like good news, but one has to wonder at what (personal/social) cost to the staff has this been achieved.... given this looks like a reduction of a round a quarter of the spend in a year.
If this has been achieved by further pressure on core NHS staff to work longer, or be stretched thinner then its just storing up trouble!

Ich werde in Zukunft die ganzen kommerziellen "AI"-Plattformen (ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, etc.) als "ManaaS" (#Mansplaning as a Service) bezeichnen.
Die erklären aus dem Brustton der Überzeugung Dinge, von denen sie absolut keine Ahnung haben und erfinden "Fakten", wenn es ihnen in den Kram passt.
Selbst wenn sie erwischt werden, machen sie mit einem "anyway ..." einfach weiter und sind vollkommen von sich und ihrer Überlegenheit überzeugt.

Låter som att dina egna behov måste räknas med också. Själv gick jag på Fairphone och e/os. Men jag hade heller inga krav på kraftfull processor, kamera eller liknande. Vill ringa, använda signal och köra en terminalemulator.
Om det varit möjligt hade jag valt än telefon med mindre formfaktor. Men upplever inte att det finns någon som erbjuder sådant öht.
