If you get an error: "Possibly a malicious file. Aborting installation" it's because it's true. The hash of the file in the nostr event does not match the hash of the downloaded asset.
Two possible reasons:
- The developer modified the release after publishing the nostr event to the Zapstore relay
- There is a server compromise or a man-in-the-middle attack
This is Zapstore protecting you, not trying to annoy you.
In the case of APKs indexed by Zapstore (from Github, for example) this will be mitigated with the new zapstore-cli indexer going live in a few weeks.
If the app was signed by a developer, you need to contact the developer.
I am going to improve the messaging, and add a "reckless mode" for those who want to install or upgrade despite the mismatch.

You fantasize about earlier decades being better because you tend to view them with your younger eyes. Once you realize the truth - you can only truly live in the present moment - you kind of let go of the burden of the past (depression) and stop worrying about the uncertainty of the future (anxiety). Something out of this world has kept you alive and will continue to do so the better you trust your instincts. The ones who had near death experiences and moreso the ones who were clinically dead know what's on the other side. Imagine everyone hodling bitcoin in self custody really start playing the game of life fearlessly.
If the state really wanted you dead you would have been eliminated by now. The thing is they don't have enough brownie points to do just that, so they play a game of faking an absolute control over the masses which is poppycock. Think about it, would propaganda really be necessary if they were that powerful in the first place?
It's all just a distraction using smoke and mirrors to make you forget your true purpose and to drain your energy. Once you see it and truly grasp this, you'll become the person you're meant to be. Take all the stupid mistakes and turn them into wisdom like a proper alchemist.

Maybe the incentives structures intrinsic to bitcoin are so pure that vapid surface level presentations of bitcoin are at worst a distraction. The fundamental precepts of freedom money are codified by Satoshi’s discovery/creation of digital scarcity, difficultly adjustment, amount of compute securing the network, node operators and common working folk who understand the value of bitcoin as a savings technology. To name a few. Ultimately there are two options for Bitcoin. Option one, Bitcoin is going up forever and will fundamentally change the nature of how human beings interact or option two, it will fail. There is no in between. Despite the lack of depth present at the convention it appears as though we’re currently witnessing option one play out.
