Yeah, but it'd be something I'd need the relay operator to do. I'd check the NIP-05 and only auth, if it were valid, and they'd just have to check the domain, not the npub. And then send us an invoice, monthly or yearly.
It's just much easier to get money from client and server hosters, like ourselves. We're the ones that get the donations and funding and etc. And then we can negotiate with relay suppliers.
We already do this, for theforest (we have three suppliers, one for each instance, and we're one of them), but getting access to the bigger private relays for our subscribers over our domain, would be a nice premium model, for us.
