Hm. Actually yes, I think this mess started after I updated nixos on my laptop (which updated signal-desktop) and that's where I saw this weird notification. It said I had to update the software on my 'original device.' I had originally installed Signal on my old phone, but then transferred the account to my new (grapheneOS) a while ago. It gets too messy and complicated to explain from there. Suffice it to say, this is probably my fault.
I use Molly on two different profiles on graphene os. Molly is always behind Signal by a bit. Maybe the update to signal desktop on the laptop put it 'out of reach' for the Molly versions on my phone.
Guess it'll be quiet for a few days while I wait and see...

Well, sure there's that, and also, yes there are few data points dince very few people bothered to voice their opinion, nevertheless the overall feel of both this attempt to tease some debate and consideration out of people here ties in pretty well with the experiences from the "rightist" and individualist libertarian milieu i've had in the past 25 years, which is overall indifferent or hostile to the notion of spending on public goods.

There are so many parts of this story that shock me. I believe it, but I am disappointed and shocked.
First, how can anyone read a book written by AI and genuinely think it reads well? I'm no literary genius, nor software genius, but the best LLM can't even hold the length of a book in its context size, meaning that by default it will, undoubtedly, forget crucial details, or repeat scenes, and that's on a best case scenario.
Second, did this person not proofread "their" own book? When writing novels, I reread them several times. I have my own novel's entire timeline memorized for how many times I've reread and rewrote individual scenes. Did this "author" not bother reading, I refuse to believe that something like this wouldn't be caught in a proofreading.
Third, does the concept of beta reader or critique partner not mean anything to this person? They "wrote" a book and just published it without having to someone tear it apart? What bizarre world is this?

アドベンチャーワールドには先月、ことし8月にジャイアントパンダ保護共同プロジェクトの契約期間が満了になることを受け、日中間で協議した結果、4頭のジャイアントパンダ、24歳の「良浜」、8歳の「結浜」、6歳の「彩浜」、4歳の「楓浜」が中国四川省の成都ジャイアントパンダ繁育研究基地に帰国することになったと明らかにしていました。
4頭はいずれもメスで結浜、彩浜、楓浜については将来の繁殖を考慮して、24歳の「良浜」は高齢期にさしかかっていて安心して暮らすための施設や医療態勢が整っている中国で暮らすことが望ましいと、中国の専門家から意見があり返還を決めたということです。
帰国する時期については、4頭に負担がかからないようにするため、比較的涼しい6月になったとしていましたが、アドベンチャーワールドは23日、6月28日（土）に決定したと発表しました。
5月26日からの1ヵ月間は隔離検疫の期間を設けるため、ガラス越しの公開になりますが、帰国前日の27日に歓送セレモニーを実施します。
