🏛️ In a recent Parliamentary question, Gregory Stafford MP raised this issue with the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
🏛️ EST Emma Reynolds MP responded that the Government recognises that access to banking services is critical for operating a business, and is a matter of concern for certain sectors in particular such as the digital asset industry.
The Government continues to engage with the banking sector and affected industries, as well as the regulator, to better understand the existing and emerging issues in this area.
The Government also welcomes the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) work to date on the factors leading banks to reject or close bank accounts. Where the FCA has found areas where firms need to improve customer outcomes, the Government expects firms to consider the FCA’s findings and act accordingly.
This is a live policy area, and BBA will continue constructive, evidence-based dialogue with the stakeholders at our upcoming Roundtable on 3 June.

I normally have the wifi router on a timer to turn off overnight, and put phone on flight mode and switch off power by the bed. Not sure if it makes much difference but decided to give it a try after reading The Invisible Rainbow. Pretty amazing book that one. Am I just exploring it, is the repo owner bit dodgy/unknown or is it closed-source? No sign.
Do I only use it, occasionally? Read-only login and I interact over my daily driver's generic event search (find an event and hit *reply*, *zap* or *react*).
And so on. But the levels only work if the app takes the different states into consideration in the design, and tries to stick to the lowest state that is practical, with an offer to "upgrade" to a higher state, during a specific action.
They should always be upgrading _for some specific reason_.

One thing I noticed after I completed my coaching training in 2022 is that I went through an identity crisis. I had trouble asking for money to coach people because my identity and worth was tied to writing code. Once I let go of the limiting belief that I could only create value for others by writing code, the resistance to ask for money faded as well. I also learned from experienced coaches that the value for clients is actually higher when you charge more money. Clients show up on time, more prepared, and committed to making a change when they paid a meaningful amount before a session. They simply got more out of it. They weren’t paying for my time; but for their own growth. It was just my ego standing in my way.
I believe engineers are going through a similar identity crisis with AI. I feel the same resistance towards adopting AI tools as I did when learning to become a coach. But what if the value we create as engineers isn’t in the ascii characters we type on a screen, but in our creativity and our desire to solve customer problems.

Did a bunch of #animestr related stuff today. I'm having so much fun building this. I wish I could do this only, but I have to mine fiat.
It's now much faster which was the biggest issue. Now the biggest problem is just rate limiting from the anilist api but I have an idea in mind for that once it becomes a bigger problem in the future.
Now we get profiles, connections (follows & followers), text events, likes and replies!
I would say that I'm 2.5/10 on my list, but I didn't build any UI yet, so maybe let's say 1.25/10.
So the next step is to build a simple ui for what I already have, and maybe fix one more issue, then moving to the fun stuff: watch lists

- [-] Sync with Anilist (2 way, if possible, otherwise 1 way - sync into the 'str)
