IMO, targeting regular casual entertainment-seeking normies is not where the money will be for building stuff with nostr tech
you want to get customers who are running a dev shop or research labs with distributed locations and similar sorts of businesses who need comms and an easily searchable archive of all kinds of data, including git repositories and documents, stuff like calendars and interfaces to teleconferencing tools
they also don't need to particularly know how it works, but they will like it for reasons like, for example, a dev shop may not want to be trusting the highly untrustworthy microsoft to not spider their private repositories into their AI models, or even just get hacked and have their data dumped on the dark web

We already know Bitcoin, by only accruing fairly, will force this downsizing of big finance. That's also why it's so important Bitcoin ends up in the legacy system in ways that seem icky to us, it's the trojan horse, or drinking its milkshake... pick your analogy.
Insurance companies and other forced buyers of fiat liabilities aren't actually people in the political sense, so they distribute the hit proportionally when this debt, otherwise known as financial assets, are destroyed one stimmy check at a time. Insurance companies are not so coincidentally buyers of the financialized bitcoin like MSTR notes etc, its how they thread the compliance needle to come out the other side of this.
Thinking about it in terms of productive wagies is antiquated factory lineworker minded thinking, that world hasn't existed in nearly 100 years. We're past peak financialization, because there can be no wealth re-distribution with Bitcoin, so the DOGE-Tariff-UBI psyop coming soon will be a controlled demolition of the legacy system.”

I had to sell #bitcoin for the first time in years. And their P2P service was great.
I sent bitcoin to the escrow, and could withdraw cash at the ATM. I only used an email to sign up. No bank account involved, no KYC.
When I got the cash, I released the bitcoin from the escrow. Done.
The only bad thing was the rate. I lost about $100 on the transaction compared to the exchange rate.
I didn't like seeing my stack decrease. But it was for the family, and my son. And I felt sovereign doing this!
Now, I need to replace these sats...
