一方で博覧会協会は、10月までの会期中に2820万人の来場を想定していますが、想定の人数に達するには1日平均で約15万人のペースが必要ですが、現状ではそれを下回っています。
この点について、高科副事務総長は「2820万人は想定であり目標ではない」と述べました。
また、これまでに最多の来場者数は開幕日の4月13日の14万6426人、一般来場者は12万4339人でした。GW期間中の来場者はいずれもこの数字を超えていません。
