11日、千葉市若葉区の路上で高齢の女性が背中を刺されて死亡した事件で、警察は、市内に住む中学3年の15歳の男子生徒を殺人の疑いで逮捕しました。2人に面識はないとみられ、警察は、事件の動機やいきさつの解明を進めることにしています。
11日午後5時すぎ、千葉市若葉区若松町の路上で近くに住む高橋八生さん（84）が血を流して倒れているのが見つかり、搬送先の病院で死亡が確認されました。
高橋さんの背中には刃物のようなもので刺された傷があり、警察は、現場付近で何者かに襲われた殺人事件として周辺の防犯カメラなどを捜査していました。
その結果、市内に住む中学3年の男子生徒（15）が事件に関わった疑いがあることがわかり、警察が任意で事情を聴いていましたが、12日午後、殺人の疑いで逮捕しました。
調べに対して「間違いないです」と供述し容疑を認めているということです。
また、捜査関係者によりますと、2人には面識がないとみられ、高橋さんは発見時に現金数千円を所持していたということです。
警察は引き続き男子生徒を取り調べ、事件の動機やいきさつの解明を進めることにしています。
被害者知人 “事件を知って驚いている”
亡くなった高橋さんと面識があるという同じマンションの住民の女性は「夫と息子とともに暮らしていたと思います。静かな人でしたが、買い物に行く時などに会えばあいさつをしていました。事件を知って驚いています」と話していました。
