How the f@$& did investing in simple stocks and ETFs turn into such an intertwined list of companies and regulation?
All I want is a platform that allows for trading where I am the owner of the security. I don’t want to worry about the counterparty risk, unrelated to my securities, causing me to lose what I thought was mine. I thought I only had to worry about the failure of companies I hold not a failure somewhere within the financial system using my securities as collateral without my permission.
Not your keys not your coins may extend way further than I ever knew.

⚔️ Bitcoin Core Devs Set October Date for OP_RETURN Battle Victory
Bitcoin Core developers have scheduled version 30 for October, dramatically expanding OP_RETURN data limits from 84 bytes to nearly 4MB by default. This ostensibly ends a heated year-long debate between ‘progressives’ like Antoine Poinsot and Peter Todd versus ‘conservatives’ led by Luke Dashjr and Bitcoin Mechanic, who argue Bitcoin should focus solely on financial transactions. While node operators can manually override the new settings, most will probably stick with defaults, effectively cementing the progressives' victory. Meanwhile, rival client Knots’s user base have grown to 11.5% in the interim.

One of my favorite ways to prevent doom scrolling is to have my phone on black & white filters.
It also helps to spend time on primal instead of other socials. It’s the high signal that keeps me on primal, not manipulative algos like X or IG.
